Welcome to the Myrna Manor North Homes Association
We are located 50 miles north of Kansas City with the entrance off Frederick Blvd. on Highway 6. Entrance monument is pictured above.
Myrna Manor was platted in 1969 as a family friendly subdivision. It was planned all homes and garages must be all brick or brick faced.. When the area was completed a Homes Association was set up with seven officers elected. Yearly meetings were held to elect new officers. All residents were asked to attend to offer their input as to what should be done to make any changes and improve the area. Annual dues from homeowners helped to make improvements which would increase future property values.
After building of the homes were completed the developer turned over 8 acres to the homeowners for use as a park, playground, etc. or whatever was decided as an enhancement or useful for the area. The Mo. Dept of Conservation and Natural Resource Conservation Service were contacted and agreed to partner with the owners to set up what is now known as the “Little Fork Wildlife” area. It was agreed this was an opportunity for residents to use the area for education and recreation. They can enjoy the Wildflowers and wetlands , the children can watch and learn about wildlife. There is a small pond which attracts ducks, geese. Turkey and deer have also been seen in the area. It was designed and set up to have a place where children can play safely which makes Myrna Manor North unique as a little bit of country with a park like setting in the city
